Apple Cinnamon Breakfast Quinoa
Anyways this morning after walking the dogs, I was half frozen and hungry. I poked around the kitchen and came up with a filling, warm breakfast - Apple Cinnamon Breakfast Quinoa. Took about 30 minutes total on the stove, no clue how it would do in the microwave. I'm trying really hard to not use the microwave as often, so it's the stovetop for me.
Apple Cinnamon Breakfast Quinoa
My completely winging it recipe is as follows:Start with making 1/3 cup quinoa cooked in 1/3 cup water with cinnamon (I put a lot in), cloves, a pinch of salt and about a teaspoon of olive oil. After about 10 minutes, add in 1/4 cup applesauce and a drizzle of maple syrup and let it finish cooking until all water and applesauce absorb (took mine about 20 more minutes).
